Vietnam’s Climate Voices

A digital archive for the people of Vietnam whose lives have been shaped — and shaken — by the tides, the floods, and the quiet violence of climate change. We tell the stories the news forgets.

About Vietnam’s Climate Voices

Our Mission

Vietnam’s Climate Voices is an independent initiative dedicated to interviewing, recording, and sharing the stories of those in Vietnam experiencing climate-driven immobility.

We are rooted in the belief that: When land is washed away, memory must not disappear with it.

Our Vision

Vietnam’s Climate Voices envisions a future where the lived experiences of climate-affected Vietnamese communities are preserved, heard, and valued. We aim to build a lasting digital archive that safeguards personal stories of loss, change, and resilience.

We hold the belief that:
When voices are overlooked, understanding cannot grow.

Current Projects

The work we are carrying out to create long-lasting change.

Stories

Voices from the Water

We are collecting over 100 stories from 10–15 regions across Vietnam that are heavily affected by flooding.
These narratives help restore individuality and dignity to people who are often reduced to “victims of natural disasters.”

Photography

Fragments of Home

Each image captures a moment that will never return: a submerged doorway, a fractured road, a washed-away garden, or a resilient smile. Through these photographs, we preserve beauty — even within loss.
